Soundtrack of my life

 This week in Hur 1 my class have been working on making a DLO ( digital learning object) to introduce yourself to the class. We had 4 options, a letter of introduction, my life through photographs, sound track of my life and a digital bio tile, I chose the sound tack of my life. Based on the one we picked we were then told what to do. For the soundtrack of our life we had to choose 4-6 songs that reminded us of someone, an event, a tradition or just something important to us. I chose 4 songs and in my slideshow you will see the reason why I choose that song and if you want to listen to the song click on the photo it will send you to the song. Hur 2 counting the beat. Introduction to music

 This week in Hur 2 we have started music classes. Currently we are working around the topic Counting the beat. Today we are posting about our introduction to music.

Here is the dictionary definition of music

A sound that people listen to as a source of inspiration that has a rhythm, beat, melody and can bring a certain emotion.

We identified multiple types of music from pop and country to blues and looping here is a list of some types we identify

pop, rock, rap, looping, blues, jazz, funk, orchestra, dub step +more

We hear music a lot we hear music and places like 

Malls, concerts, youtube, spotify etc 

In counting the beat I hope to learn about rhythm and using timing to determine the beat of a song.

 

Freeze frame

Today in Hur 2 drama we made 6 different freeze frames for 6 main points in the story "Bok Choy"
The six points that I thought were the most important were.

1. Going fishing to get away from the fight between the two mums
2. Falling into the river 
3. waking up in Arsum's house and getting offered  the rice
4. Mum coming in and being very grateful
5. Thinking about why Arsum worshipped the portraits 
6. The two mums arguing again but standing up for Arsum and his "Bok Choy"

Badge of honour

Today in Hur 2 we read a story called Badge of honour and we had to answer a series of questions here are mine.

1.Isaac's personality is quite shy but easily excitable he is a very kind person just trying to get on with his own business and does not want to interfere with anyone else.

2. The school captains are Fai and Jess for the girls and Thomasi and Isaac and their roles are to keep them in line and make sure they are doing the right thing and being safe.

3. I think Fai doesn't really like Thomasi because he isn't very nice and is selfish.

4.The impression that the author gives of Fai is a good person but thinks more about herself than anyone else .

5. The advice I would give to Isaac would be that he should stand up for himself more because he is a good kid. 

The bullet

Today in Hur 2 we read a book the book we read was The Bullet And we had to answer a series of questions to do with that book here are the questions from the book I read.

Rodney does not care what it was used for because he found it and it makes him fell like he has more power over the bully's because he has a bullet.

The dude is with the police now because he was trying to sell smokes to someone underage and he has probably sold them before.

He doesn't look cool any more because he is with the police and he isn't wearing his glasses.

I agree with her because I think she is telling the truth.

I think he learnt that a bully is a bully no matter what but you can stand up for yourself and others.

The authors purpose was to show that life can be tough but if you stand up for yourself you can do anything
