The bullet

Today in Hur 2 we read a book the book we read was The Bullet And we had to answer a series of questions to do with that book here are the questions from the book I read.

Rodney does not care what it was used for because he found it and it makes him fell like he has more power over the bully's because he has a bullet.

The dude is with the police now because he was trying to sell smokes to someone underage and he has probably sold them before.

He doesn't look cool any more because he is with the police and he isn't wearing his glasses.

I agree with her because I think she is telling the truth.

I think he learnt that a bully is a bully no matter what but you can stand up for yourself and others.

The authors purpose was to show that life can be tough but if you stand up for yourself you can do anything

Reading, Percy Jackson and the lightning thief

Today for hurumanu I read Percy Jackson and the lightning thief and did the activity to draw about the main theme. I love reading Percy Jackson because it is a fictional story about a regular high school boy who got taken to a camp for the special. I found it easy to have fun but I found it challenging to draw it.

Pigeon Impossible

Today we watched short video called Pigeon Impossible. The video was about a pigeon who just wanted to steal a bagel but set of a missile to destroy Russia instead. Walter the secret agent had to complete his mission to stop the missile from destroying Russia . He completed his task but it did not end up the way he thought it would.

There were 4 activites that we could choose from, there was creating a wanted poster, create another mission for Walter to complete, make a news report or make a comic about the video. I decided to do the wanted poster. 

I found it hard to make the pigeon but I found it easy to have fun and enjoy it.

Shifty Shark

In Mr Breach's literacy class we are learning to look deeper and find more about the main character. I think shifty shark is a good book because I like the plot and the story line because of the way Archie was being mean. Archie was the main character in Shifty Shark he thinks he thinks he is the best of the best and the biggest thing in the sea We had 3 activity sheets one to help is under stand the main character more one to write down our questions and one to find words we don't know the meaning of. My favourite part of the book is when Archie got eaten by a bigger shark. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good page turner. I rate this book 4 out of 5.

Battle of Words

In Mr Breach's literacy class we are learning to look deeper and find more about the main character. I think Battle of Words is a good book because I like the plot and the story line because of the way they wrote letters to each other. P.S Mcgunnity was the main character in Battle of Words she can get very intrigued and not understand what is going on around her. We had 3 activity sheets one to help is under stand the main character more one to write down our questions and one to find words we don't know the meaning of. My favourite part of the book is when she made the mistakes. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good page turner. I rate this book 5 out of 5.

Would you rather

This week in literacy we are using a would you rather question to show why we would make this decision . One of the questions were would you rather be able to become invisible or be able to fly . I found it easy to come up with what question I was going to chose but I found it hard to come up with reasons .

or the past term my literacy class have been writing poems we have wrote
chinquain poems limericks acrostic poems , triplet poems and my favourite
poems my disgusting dinner. I found coming up with ideas at first hard but I
found having fun easy .

My Anthology

This term for literacy we have been learning about different types of poems before we learnt what other types of poems there were I only knew one type of poem a Haiku but now I know two types of poems limericks and haiku . I found having fun and making up thinks easy but I found making words rhyme hard .

New Badges

This week for literacy we have been creating new badges by using the learn, create, share process to make them. It was really hard especially using the feedback that I was given by other people because It was mostly good but I did use it .
