Aliyah’s Anthology

This week in writing we have been make poems and putting them in our anthology. An anthology is a collection of poems that you either made or like. I love making poems so check every couple days for new poems. I found it easy to write the poems sand have fun, but I found it hard to find rhyming words.

Kenning poem

In writing with Mrs Mcguinnity we learnt about kenning poems . They are an old Nordic style poem they have 8 lines and always end with er .first we brain stormed a spider poem next we wrote the spider poem.Then Mrs Mcguinnity told us to write some other poems. I found it challenging to find words with er on the end but I found it easy to write how the move , act and what they eat .

Fire poem

for the past term my literacy class have been writing poems we have wrote chinquain poems limericks acrostic poems  and triplet poems . I found coming up with ideas at first hard but I found having fun easy .

For the past week in literacy we have been writing poems so far we have done limericks ,acrostic poems and Cinquain poems at first I thought it was hard but I kept persisting and now I have lots of poems , If I am exact  I now have 27 poems here is one of my favourites that I would like to show you .

My Anthology

This term for literacy we have been learning about different types of poems before we learnt what other types of poems there were I only knew one type of poem a Haiku but now I know two types of poems limericks and haiku . I found having fun and making up thinks easy but I found making words rhyme hard .
