Final art display

This term in Hur 4 we have we have been slowly creating a final art display. On our art display we have our three art pieces, the three pieces were our weaving, our Tapa art and our collage. We also put our . The part of my art display that I am most proud of is my Tapa art Because it took the most effort and it was fun to make. Something that challenged me during this art/writing hurumanu was figuring out where to put my pieces of art and poetry on my black piece of paper. My favourite style of poetry is a style of poetry called limerick. I enjoyed creating my poems and artwork and I hope I can do a different types of poetry and art again soon.

Tapa cloth

For the past while we have been making Tapa cloths. A Tapa cloth is a piece of natural clothe made from bark it is soaked and beaten into a piece of flat material, then designs get drawn on it using a natural ink made from other plants and vegetable dyes. The way we made it was we drew out some basic designs that represented things in the story "The Creation Of Tuna". The creation of tuna is a story that explains the Maori legend of how tuna was made. We drew 6 designs that represented something in the story, mine were. The 4 pieces of tuna, The river, The heavens , the heat tuna experienced in heaven , tipua (supernatural), the basket that they weaved to capture tuna.

Badge of honour

Today in Hur 2 we read a story called Badge of honour and we had to answer a series of questions here are mine.

1.Isaac's personality is quite shy but easily excitable he is a very kind person just trying to get on with his own business and does not want to interfere with anyone else.

2. The school captains are Fai and Jess for the girls and Thomasi and Isaac and their roles are to keep them in line and make sure they are doing the right thing and being safe.

3. I think Fai doesn't really like Thomasi because he isn't very nice and is selfish.

4.The impression that the author gives of Fai is a good person but thinks more about herself than anyone else .

5. The advice I would give to Isaac would be that he should stand up for himself more because he is a good kid.

Today in Hur 2 we read the bullet and made a DLO of some sort I decided I would remake the cover using canva. Canva is  good online site where you can design anything. Here is the cover that I made.

Today in Hur 2 we read a book the book we read was The Bullet And we had to answer a series of questions to do with that book here are the questions from the book I read.

Rodney does not care what it was used for because he found it and it makes him fell like he has more power over the bully's because he has a bullet.

The dude is with the police now because he was trying to sell smokes to someone underage and he has probably sold them before.

He doesn't look cool any more because he is with the police and he isn't wearing his glasses.

I agree with her because I think she is telling the truth.

I think he learnt that a bully is a bully no matter what but you can stand up for yourself and others.

The authors purpose was to show that life can be tough but if you stand up for yourself you can do anything

My Favourite animal

I have written a poem specifically a haiku poem. A haiku is a Japanese poem traditionally about nature but nowadays it can be about anything. Haiku's also have syllables and 3 lines line one has 5 then line 2 has 7 line 3 has 5
