This term in art class we have been looking at Logo design, This week we were looking at positive and negative space in Logos. We had to find some logos ( Between 6-10) with positive and negative space, once we did that we had to choose 2-3 of our favorites and we had to write about what type of logo they are and what we liked about them. Here are mine.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 7 and in 2021 I will be a year 8. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Counting the beat: Week 5 Ukulele
This week in Counting the beat we were looking at the ukulele. This week we learnt about the finger placement to make a sound (chords), what makes a ukulele a ukulele and not a small guitar and how to play a song( The lion sleeps tonight).
We saw some different types of ukuleles other than just the one you always see. There are 4 different sizes of ukulele they are Soprano, Concert, Tenor and Baritone, Soprano having the Highest pitch and Baritone having the lowest. there are also alot of variety in shape like these ones

Hur 2 counting the beat. Introduction to music
This week in Hur 2 we have started music classes. Currently we are working around the topic Counting the beat. Today we are posting about our introduction to music.

A sound that people listen to as a source of inspiration that has a rhythm, beat, melody and can bring a certain emotion.
We identified multiple types of music from pop and country to blues and looping here is a list of some types we identify
pop, rock, rap, looping, blues, jazz, funk, orchestra, dub step +more
We hear music a lot we hear music and places like
Malls, concerts, youtube, spotify etc
In counting the beat I hope to learn about rhythm and using timing to determine the beat of a song.
Pepeha
For the past week in Hur 1 we have been working on our pepeha. In our Pepeha we put our awa (river), our maunga (mountain), where were from, our school and our family. Here is my Pepeha ( I could not find pictures of my mum but i will put them on when I do find them).
