Today for the end of the term trip we went to a Marae. The Marae was called He Tangata. A Marae is a Maori place where you get taught to do cool things like games, poi and haka. We went to to the Marae with all of puni-o-toka and whakarua. The people there gave us a welcoming. We had a lot fun here are some peoples opinions on the Marae.
Bella: my favorite part was when they told the Maori myths and legends.
Tyler: it was scarily entertaining.
Peter: I liked the games.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 7 and in 2021 I will be a year 8. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

How I will work on the mat
This week in homeroom time we have been working on how we will work in diffrent spaces like the wet space, the mat, independentty and the campfire/ big mat. I chose to do the mat. I made a DLO on google drawings. I had a lot of fun making my DLO. I found it easy to have fun but I found it hard to make the people.

Graphs
Today in strand math we made graphs using google sheets. first we watched a video to teach us about how to make hem although I already knew how to make them, then we got on our chromebooks and made 3 graphs useing information we collected. The 3 graphs I made were a pie graph, a bar graph and a line graph.
I found it fun and easy making the charts and changing the colours fonts and other things but I found it chalenging to not have fun.
